Kyrgyz Republic: Rural Finance Program (Phase I and II)

The Kyrgyz Rural Finance Program (KRFP) is a Technical Assistance project financed with funds from the German Ministry of Economic Cooperation (BMZ) and managed by KFW and the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic (MoF).
The programme objective is to contribute to the development of rural areas in Kyrgyz Republic by fostering employment and economic growth via improved access to financial services.

Strengthening SME Services at Kyrgyzstan Bank

Following the institution’s successful transformation from an MFI into a regulated banking institution in 2011, BFC was selected to perform strengthening of SME banking services as a new direction of the Bank’s business strategy. As part of the assignment BFC develops and defines necessary policies, procedures, manuals and processes that will match the SME lending expansion plans of the bank.


Banking Environment and Performance Survey (BEPS) II

BEPS II is carried out to get a better understanding of the current state of the banking system by means of a survey conducted in 31 countries, covering approximately 872 banks. The survey will provide a detailed snapshot of the region’s banking sectors before and after the crisis. (more…)
