Support for the financing of the agriculture sector in Armenia (Phase II)

The objective of the programme is to support the expansion of sustainable lending to agricultural MSMEs in Armenia, thus contributing to the broadening and deepening of the financial sector, as well as to creating and securing employment and income in rural areas. The programme is implemented in cooperation with selected PFIs via the German Armenian Fund (GAF), which is administered by the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA).

SME Development and Financing Potential in the Eastern European Partnership Countries

A research assessment and gap analysis study to assist the European Investment Bank (EIB) in understanding the financing needs of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the five project countries and identify market failures. The project will involve onsite visits to each of the target countries to conduct research into the relative importance of factors affecting SME development within each country. It will then develop cross-country comparisons that will illuminate potential avenues for future EIB operations in the region.

Banking Environment and Performance Survey (BEPS) II

BEPS II is carried out to get a better understanding of the current state of the banking system by means of a survey conducted in 31 countries, covering approximately 872 banks. The survey will provide a detailed snapshot of the region’s banking sectors before and after the crisis. (more…)
