BFC provided technical assistance to MIKRA’s management that helped in evaluating and developing the MFI’s strategic options.
After performing due diligence assessment of MIKRA, BFC consultants have:
- Identified three different scenarios of strategic development: rehabilitation, merger or sale
- Analyzed business development strategies with special focus on options in terms of regional market coverage and target groups, product tailoring (including pricing) and competitor analysis
- Formulated criteria for selection of appropriate merger targets and/or buyers
- Designed appropriate corporate governance in light of a new ownership/institutional structure
- Prepared scenario analysis that allowed for an informed decision making
