Following the institution’s successful transformation from an MFI into a regulated banking institution in 2011, BFC was selected to perform strengthening of SME banking services as a new direction of the Bank’s business strategy. As part of the assignment BFC develops and defines necessary policies, procedures, manuals and processes that will match the SME lending expansion plans of the bank.

KfW aims to set up a regional Fund providing equity finance and technical assistance to social entrepreneurs in Asia. To this end KfW has contracted BFC to provide it with country specific market studies, mapping the existing market conditions, potential options for a regional fund, as well as a feasibility study. BFC provided consulting to MFC “Bai-Tushum and Partners” with regard to its transformation into a banking institution and future strategy as a Microfinance Bank.
