More than 40 participants from banks and microfinance institutions in Kosovo, involved in agricultural finance, attended the unique hands-on seminar hosted by Development Facility of the European Fund for Southeast Europe (EFSE DF) and leaded by Michael Kortenbusch, BFC Managing Director, in December 2014.
The purpose of the workshop was to explore the possibilities for actionable measures based on the insights gained from the “Agricultural finance in Kosovo – potential and challenges” study recently conducted by BFC Analytics on behalf of the EFSE DF. The study examined the structure and main supply and demand characteristics of financial services for the agricultural sector in Kosovo. The study also pointed to possibilities for the financial sector of more effectively leveraging the high potential of agriculture. The research findings were presented and distributed among participants at the outset of the workshop.
